Bathrooms Are Small Rooms Where Bad Work Shows
A bathroom is the least forgiving room in a house. Tile that is out by a fraction reads as crooked. A shower pan that is not sloped right holds water. Grout that was rushed fails within a year. There is nowhere to hide sloppy work in a space that small.
We do the waterproofing properly before the tile goes on, because that is the part nobody sees and the part that costs thousands to redo. And we do our own plumbing and electrical, so the vanity, the fixtures and the exhaust fan are handled by the same crew that set the tile.
You get a written scope before demolition, a firm price, and a realistic window for how long the bathroom will be out of service.

Bathroom Remodeling Services We Provide
Most of the DFW bathrooms we work on fall into two categories: a primary bath that has not been touched since the house was built, or a guest bath being prepared for a sale or a tenant. Those need very different scopes.

Tub-to-Shower Conversions
Removing a rarely used garden tub and putting in a proper walk-in shower is the single most requested change we do. Includes demolition, waterproofing, tile, glass, valve and drain relocation.

Full Primary Bath Remodels
Layout changes, double vanities, separate tub and shower, tile floors and walls, lighting and ventilation. The whole room, handled by one crew rather than five subcontractors on different schedules.

Vanities, Mirrors and Lighting
Vanity and top replacement, mirrors, sconces and overhead lighting, with the plumbing and electrical connections done properly. Often the highest-impact change in a guest bath or powder room.

Fixtures, Toilets and Exhaust
Toilets, faucets, shower valves, shut-offs and exhaust fans. Unglamorous work, but a bathroom with a running toilet and a fan that does not clear steam is not a finished bathroom.

- Demolition and haul-off — Old tile, tub and vanity removed and taken away
- Waterproofing — Proper pan and wall prep before any tile is set — the step that gets skipped
- Tile and glass — Floors, walls, niches, shower enclosures and glass
- Plumbing and electrical — Valves, drains, vanities, lighting and exhaust
- Final clean — Grout haze off, fixtures polished, room usable
How the Process Works
No design centre, no showroom appointment, no six-week discovery phase. Here is how a bathroom remodel job actually runs with us.
- Walkthrough — We look at the bathroom and talk through what you actually use the room for.
- Written scope and price — Firm number, including the waterproofing and prep most quotes leave vague.
- Scheduling — A start date and the window the bathroom will be out of service.
- Demolition and waterproofing — Old finishes out, substrate corrected, pan and walls sealed.
- Tile, fixtures and glass — Set, grouted, plumbed and wired.
- Walkthrough and clean — We check it with you, correct anything, and clean before we go.
What a Bathroom Remodel Costs in Dallas–Fort Worth
A powder room refresh and a full primary bath rebuild are different orders of magnitude, so a number on a web page would be meaningless. What we can tell you is what drives the cost: whether plumbing moves, how much tile there is, and whether the shower gets glass.
You get a firm written price after we see the room. If we find something behind the wall — and in older DFW homes we sometimes do — we stop, show you, and price it before continuing. You are never surprised at the end.
A guest bath refresh is typically days. A full primary bath is typically two to three weeks, most of which is tile, cure time and glass lead time.
If water use matters to you, the fixtures we install can be specified to EPA WaterSense standards, which cut flow without the weak-shower trade-off people expect. Worth deciding before the valves are ordered.
Frequently Asked Questions About Bathroom Remodeling
How long will the bathroom be out of service?
A guest bath refresh is usually a few days. A full primary bath remodel is typically two to three weeks. Tile and grout need cure time and shower glass is measured after the tile is set, so those two steps set the floor on the schedule regardless of crew size.
Is a tub-to-shower conversion worth it?
For most DFW homes, yes. Large garden tubs in primary baths go largely unused, and converting that footprint to a proper walk-in shower makes the room more usable day to day. The one exception is a home with no tub anywhere else — families with small children and buyers often want at least one.
Can you fix a shower that leaks rather than remodel it?
Sometimes. If it is a failed valve, a cracked grout line or bad caulk, that is a repair. If water has been getting behind the tile for a while, the substrate is usually compromised and patching it just buys a few months. We will tell you which one you have.
Do you do resurfacing instead of replacement?
Yes. Refinishing a tub or tile surround costs a fraction of replacement and takes about a day, which makes it the right call on rentals and pre-sale properties. If the surface is cracked or failing, replacement is the honest answer.
Do you handle permits?
When plumbing or electrical is being moved, yes, we coordinate with your city. Like-for-like fixture replacement in the same location generally does not require one.
Are you insured?
Yes. PBA Services LLC carries liability insurance and can provide a certificate before work begins.
